I am, obviously, the best friend ever. Okay, not really. But to make up for what I lack, I make awesome birthday cards. And yes, I'm rather full of myself at the moment, but mostly I'm just happy that my idea worked.
I'd never used ink before, and I was fairly sure that the whole thing would fall apart the minute I tried to cut out the oval. But it didn't. And now I've got an idea for the artwork I have to do as part of my 'education'. Bonus.
The inside of the card is yellow, and there's an identical bat on the other side, so you can properly see his wings.
